As an adolescent, as a teenager I would have written hundreds of letters, its better to term them epistles. My mom still has letters that I have written to her when I was in class 5. My friends used to like my writing so much that they took help from me for writing letters to their dear ones. Then came that phase of my life wherein I started working and access to emails was a part of the package. In the next few years I realised I could not write even two sentences continuously by pen. Later on Thanks to all these Chats, SMSes, etc that writing even long mails has become a big task.
One day I realised many people are into the world called blogging. I had no clue what a blog was till I read the wikipedia definition.” A blog (a contraction of the term weblog) is a website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries.” There I started wondering why do people write personal diaries for the rest of the world to read. Crazzy!
“Gosh! How on earth do people write so much. Where do they get the patience and time from”, I was wondering when I read the blog of my BIL, the first blog I ever read. But then I have to admit I enjoyed reading it. Years went by and I would have gone through so many blogs including the Big B’s(even he could squeeze in time for that, but I am like no way!). Couple of months back my very close friend, like we know each other for the last almost 20 years, started blogging and I never knew she can write so much and so well. But still I thought “Nah! Its not for me!”
But then it was always troubling me as to why I can’t do something. I always used to blame it on my time, my son, may family, etc. Am not even working these days. Am a full time home maker . May be that is the reason for my laid back attitude. Last night I went through my BIL’s blog and I read what he had recently written about “Jai Ho”and the attitude of “Hope Over Fear” which reminded me of my favourite words “If You Think You Can, You Can.” That was my first inspiration. Later about 11pm IST I was chatting with this friend of mine who said at almost 3 am her time she was writing her blog which is keeping her fresh even at that odd hour. Lo! I decided I will start too and the best way was to tell myself and the world those favourite verses of mine “If You Think You Can, You Can!” by Denis Waitley, through my first post. It was just a copy paste work. But then I did start. As they say "Beginning is half completing". Today I managed to push myself to write for the first time a post for my personal blog and here I am starting my own log on the web.
I know I ve started doing something I thought was Crazzy and I am not sure about my dedication in continuing this, but I feel I need to make my blog little different and I need to find my Blue Ocean strategy in the world of Blogging. Thats a Challenge! There is no fun without a challenge in life.
